My vision for Buckfast Queens
My name is Mogens Mundt, and I run my own beekeeping business, “Buckfast Queens,” with a primary focus on producing my own breeding queens for sale both domestically and internationally. My production includes both naturally mated and island-mated breeding queens, as well as overwintered queens.
My vision is to breed Buckfast queens that can tolerate and perform optimally in climatic conditions with massive drought and heat. This in relation to both home and abroad.
My work with queen breeding is strengthened through close collaboration with Keld Brandstrup, where I had the opportunity to learn about selecting breeding material and handling queen breeding.

In my queen breeding programme, I only produce Buckfast queens, where I focus on good panel strength. The production consists of free-mated, island-mated & overwintered queens.

Free mated Buckfast queens bred in an isolated forest area for strong, calm and productive bee families.
Sold in Denmark and abroad
Island-paired queens
Island-mated Buckfast queens with documented pedigree and controlled breeding in a protected environment.
